KILIMANJARO x LØCI

In just a few years, KILIMANJARO has quickly become a major force in the music scene, blending Afro-centric rhythms with Western sounds and electrifying audiences across Europe.

In this exclusive interview, KILIMANJARO discusses his first international set, his pre-performance rituals, and shares valuable advice for emerging talents.

1. Every artist has that first unforgettable stage - where was yours?

My first ever set outside of the UK was in Albania at Ion Festival. I’m excited to go back; it’s one of the most stunning locations on the planet. The water is incredibly clear and blue, with white beaches—it's beautiful.

2. Favorite place you've performed at?

Massive shoutout to Kaa Future Festival in CH. I played there last year and had a great time. The facilities were excellent, no queues for drinks, clean toilets—it was a really well-organized event.

3. We saw that you recently did a Boiler Room set with Fred again. How was that?

Fred's my guy! That was a while ago, but it was a good time. Fred's doing his own thing now, but you can check out my Instagram @KManMusic for updates.

4.  Before you go on stage, do you have any pre-show rituals or routines?

I usually take a quiet moment before I go on stage to balance my energy. I’ll also send a little message to my mom. It’s a bit of meditation and calming myself before the energetic performance.

5. Finally, do you have any advice for up-and-coming DJs who want to be where you are right now?

One of the big things is to play as much as possible for different types of crowds. Learning how to read people and rooms is crucial. Get your 10,000 hours in by playing at parties, after-parties, bars, and clubs. Be a "yes" person—always be open to opportunities.
